I didn't write last night because I knew I'd want to check in this morning with my weigh in. And all I have to say is although I've been burning a million calories...I was 169 this morning - its obvious to me that EATING is as important, if not more important than calorie burn. Its not simply calories in vs. calories out... its about putting lowfat nutritious food in your body.
I am actually glad this happened because its a good eye opener. From here on out I am going to eat my low fat - good for me food and have a cheat meal... I just have to plan plan plan! :)
I hope all of you who have addictions (cough cough chocolate) will use me as a bad example. Look at me as the control group and take my results as fact! Because that is the ONLY Thing I changed... my diet! I ate less calories than normal and burned more.
Thank you for reading - and just to be clear I am not unhappy with this week because I am right back on the stick! :) <3
haha was that little 'cough cough chocolate' directed at me? LOL!!! Too funny! I know, I need to go back to my once-per-week cheat meal too. Allen and I are going out for bbq tonight, but after today I'm NOT going to cheat again until next Friday.
ReplyDeleteAnd you should really read some of those books by Michael Pollan, especially "In Defense Of Food: An Eater's Manifesto." He really dispells the "low/no-fat" notion to the point that I don't want to even eat low fat stuff anymore (dairy or processed stuff especially). I'm more a fan of eating natural, whole foods now!
Yeah I'll have to pick the books up- but I am not talking lowfat like buying food that is processed to be that way- I mean eating chicken and turkey rather than beef, substituting fage for sour cream etc... And diet sodas are officially out :(
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely proud of you for not giving up even when some of the circumstances scream at you to! This just proves that this is truly a lifestyle change! I'm really proud of you and how well of an example you're setting!
